Situated alongside the canyon of Korana River, Korana Campsite is considered one of the most beautiful campsites in continental Croatia. Thanks to its location it boasts lush vegetation, allowing campers to hide away in their own secluded corner and enjoy the peaceful natural environment. Although a typical karst river, Korana is special in many ways. It springs at the heart of Plitvice lakes National park, bringing the water from the waterfalls in the immediate vicinity of campsite Korana.
Covering an area of 35 hectares, the camp is located 6 kilometres from the north entrance to Plitvice lakes National Park visitor zone. It can receive up to 2500 campers, who are free to choose their desired spot to park their caravan or trailer, or pitch their tent.
The campsite offers also 45 + 2 bungalows equipped with linen, tables with chairs and a wardrobe. Guests share the common washroom facilities, which are newly refurbished. Pets are welcome.
Within the camp is a shop and the Korana restaurant. The restaurant is situated at the very edge of thre campsite, thus providing a magnificent view of the rich natural environment and the Korana river canyon. Restaurant has an outdoor terrace, which during the summer months serves as a stage for evening concerts and performances.
The pleasant campsite environment, wooded and beautifully landscaped, makes the area an attractive destination for active holiday seekers. At campsite it is possible to rent a bike and nordic walking poles. If your idea of the perfect holiday includes walking, jogging, cycling or swimming in the river, you have surely found the destination where you can enjoy in all these activities.
Twin Bungalow: made of wood, this bungalow features a shared bathroom. The room has two single beds that can be pushed together. Linen and blankets are included. 15 m2, 2 single beds 90 x 200 m.
